Shutting the hell up

I don't feel much like doing this, but I will ...

I'm fine.
That is to say that Tuesday went well.
Edited to read: Tuesday at the hospital went well.

That being said, "Fall To Grace" is going dark for awhile. I seem to stumble more than anything else and I no longer care to pose and pontificate as though I have any answers or that my brain vomit is fit to be shared because believe me folks, it's really, really not. I hope you'll occasionally check out the blogs that I'll continue to enjoy, as the folks behind them really do seem to provide value and perspective or at least a well needed smile or two.

Apologies if this reads a bit like a pity party, or me "taking my toys and going home". I guess if one cannot walk the walk then one should at least have the good common sense to shut the hell up. I don't seem to listen to myself - so why I'd expect anyone else to is a mystery. My ego astounds and shames me.

I wish you ... *all* of you ... peace.

Be good, take fun, and for cryin' out loud have care ... because when you don't have care, the rest really doesn't matter.

And now - "Waiting to be stuck"

Today I:

* went to the Western Wear shop and purchased a GREAT hat and damn it all if these cute little boots managed to slip into the bag, too.

* spent half a day at the hospital, essentially signing my life away, and arranging for part 2 of my procedure for next week - which apparently "stars" a large needle and my left boob.

* went to the bookstore and purchased 5 or 6 "gosh, I wish I had" books - including "The Bro Code" which, 'tho I'm a chick, I intend to use as a guideline with the goal of helping me better understand the other half of the population.

* drank my coffee at my regular coffee shop, instead of taking it to go. After all, I spent plenty of time at home yesterday, so I wanted a change of scenery.

* had every good intention to talk to my parents, my loved ones, my friends and those that have been incredibly kind to me in 2008 to let them know about what's going on with that second "*" up there ... but I have instead turned off all phones and have given myself permission to freak out - just a little. I'll be ok tomorrow ... or Sunday.

* got a note from my favorite shipping employee at my old gig who has told me of a package that arrived from out of the country. I know what this package is, who it is from, and ... the timing is all just rather incredible.

* decided that it's time for me to visit my hair salon again - next week if I'm able to. A great hat may come in handy but as long as I have my hair, I intend to enjoy it.

* blogged ... when I SHOULD have called my parents, loved ones, friends, etc ...

* realized that I'm scared, excited, tired, jubilant, hopeful, and at peace all at once. I will let all of these feelings and emotions wash over me, as they occur.

I may go offline for a bit - or I may be so nervous that I don't. Please note that I'm currently fine, I have every intention of being fine next week, and I have a ever-growing staff of doctors and nurses who intend to help me redefine "fine" from here on out.

I will continue to fall to grace.

Still stuck ... the update

Yeah, I know, it's only been a few hours. What can I say - boredom does strange things to a human. I spent my time on this interweb thingy and dug DEEP into another person's blog.

I learned that I cry far too easily.
I laugh out loud even when I'm alone.
My musical tastes aren't that strange after all.
I am, for all practical purposes, a fairly positive individual.
I am not now, nor have I ever been, "brave".
I am VERY naive - or not very observant - about things that I "think" I know.
I am still remarkably shallow. (This one in particular REALLY bums me out.)

Oh - and I can't write worth a damn.

But other than that, I'm a fairly positive individual.
